New York, NY

The offices for IEEE, a professional society of Electrical Engineers constitute a complete rethink of their existing space in New York City. We worked with IEEE to establish and implement new standards including a large number of “hoteling” stations. Departments were organized in the plan to give them coherence and presence. This reorganization allowed the “public” showplace spaces to grow in long arcs from the elevator lobby to the window, bringing natural light well into the spaces and showing off the unique views the floor has into the city. Conference rooms, open meeting spaces, media labs, and a pantry café support staff and visitors creating an energetic, creative, functional showcase for this venerable institution.
